Terms & Conditions.
It is the responsibility of the bride to agree and accept the terms and conditions set out below. By proceeding to book with a booking fee, you accept that you have read these terms and conditions, are entering into a contract and you agree to be bound by them.
Due to the private nature of my business, all contract and communications are solely with the bride and will not be discussed with any third party, regardless of who is responsible for paying or acting on your behalf.
COMMUNICATIONS
I will guide you through the process from the initial booking, the trial to the wedding day.
To help you through this process and avoid any misunderstandings, please read and familiarise yourself with all information provided upfront on my website, including the Prices List and all information throughout this document.
It is advised that the most efficient way for us to communicate throughout is via email. This ensures everything is in one place. WhatsApp and Instagram are a lovely way to share images, however, important correspondence can often get missed or confused.
In busy periods, please be aware that it can take a few days to respond to an email message.
My time & focus is solely on my clients, as well as travelling and cleaning / preparing my kit. It can be difficult to answer phone calls or reply to messages when on a job, however I make every effort to check emails regularly where I can. If you feel an email message has been missed, please do let me know! If your message is urgent and/or requires a prompt response you can text me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
BOOKINGS
Bookings are taken up to 18 months in advance. Due to high demand, dates get booked up quickly.
A booking fee of £100 is required at the time of booking to ensure your date is reserved. This fee is non-refundable and is deducted from your final balance. Please note, dates will not be reserved until this is received.
For bookings which fall on a UK bank holiday and/or within unsociable hours may incur an additional charge. This will be discussed with you when provisional timings are agreed.
Where time does not allow for travel on the day of the booking, accommodation (Premier Inn or equivalent) must be arranged and all costs and must be paid for with the final balance.
For all bookings, mileage charges for myself are calculated from postcode GU34 1GY and charged at 0.50p per mile. This is added to your final balance. If an associate stylist is booked, mileage will be calculated from their home postcode.
Any parking or toll charges incurred are chargeable.
MINIMUM BOOKING
At the time of booking, you will be asked to confirm the number of people who require makeup on the wedding day. Please note, from April to October there is a minimum requirement of 4 adult services (e.g., Bride and 3 Bridesmaids makeup only). To offer the best service within your time constraints, bookings greater than 6 services will require additional associate artist(s) (strictly dependent on timings and availability) for all wedding bookings. Unfortunately, any reduction in the final numbers after the time of confirmation for myself or any associate artist will still be charged.
TRIALS & CONSULTATIONS
Appointments for trials are available Tuesday to Friday, as weekends are fully booked with weddings and freelance work.
A trial is arranged by contacting me directly with your available date(s). Trials are generally recommended 6-8 weeks before and no sooner than 12 weeks before the wedding day.
Please be aware that I currently work freelance across all medias and sometimes due to other work commitments and schedules, original trial dates may be changed at short notice. You will be notified immediately, and another date will be offered.
At your trial, my aim is to deliver a one-to-one bespoke personal service. With your input I will work closely with you to achieve a makeup look you will love.
If you or any member of the bridal party, feel on reflection that after the initial trial they would like to tweak the look or try another look please inform me as soon as possible to book in for an additional trial. All trial payments are non-refundable. Payment for trials is payable in cash or via mobile bank transfer at the time of the trial.
If you do not wish to proceed with your booking after your bridal trial, your £100 booking fee is non-refundable as it covers all booking and administration costs.
TIMINGS
Your requirements for the wedding day will be discussed at the trial. Timings will be calculated, and you will be given an agreed arrival time prior to the wedding day.
ASSOCIATE ARTISTS
If you have a large bridal party, I may be able to organise another hairstylist, associate artist or assistant (subject to their availability and additional numbers/ services required) to work alongside me. Please be aware I am only able to offer this if the number of additional people/services is enough for the artist to travel out for.
The use of associate artists will incur a fee of £100 per artist plus their travel.
FINAL BALANCE
The final balance, minus your booking fee, is due 4 -6 weeks before the wedding date. This will be emailed to you with a breakdown of the costs and can be paid by bank transfer.
Should no payment be received despite a reminder by email by the specified due date (received no less than 2 weeks prior to the wedding date) a £50 late payment fee is applicable. I have the right to cancel all services for your wedding date and all fees due will still be payable.
BOOKING CHANGES
Changes to your booking by adding another person onto your original booking will only be accepted if time and resources allow on your wedding day. Prior notice is required, and payment is to be upfront.
Changes made to reduce the number in your bridal party, or the services booked will still incur costs payable in the weeks prior to your wedding day. See booking cancellation charges below which will apply to the parties and services cancelled.
If there are any changes to the original booking, the bride must inform me by email as soon as possible. I will try to accommodate changes to dates etc. however this is subject to availability only.
Please note, due to the high standard of quality service provided there is no option or discount offered for partial services (i.e., eyes only or ‘younger bridesmaids’)
If lashes included in the bride’s makeup are not required, these may be transferred to another bridal party member. To maintain high standards, all eyelashes are to be purchased from myself and eyelashes will not be fitted if purchased elsewhere.
BOOKING CANCELLATIONS
In the unfortunate event that you must cancel your booking or reduce booking numbers, cancellation charges are as follows:
3 months prior to the wedding day: 50% of remainder of balance due.
1-2 months prior to the wedding day: 75% of remainder of balance due.
1 month or less: Total costs due.
If there are any cancellations to the original booking, the bride must inform me in writing as soon as possible. The £100 booking fee is non-refundable.
In the unlikely event of me being unable to attend to you, this will only occur if your date clashes with an unpredictable life event, such as illness, bereavement or close friend or family member’s wedding. Every endeavour will be made to find you another make-up artist of similar standard and qualification to come out to you. Otherwise, full payment of the booking fee and balance (if paid upfront) will be returned to you.
DELAYS ON THE DAY
Please make sure you are all ready to go on the morning of the wedding. It is the bride’s responsibility to ensure that all members of the bridal party are strictly available at their prearranged allocated time slots. No refund or compensation will be offered for delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests, or members of the bridal party.
If delays occur due to unforeseen circumstances out of my control, such as bad weather conditions or unexpected traffic congestion, compensation will not be offered if services exceed the allocated time and refunds will not be given if one or more services are forfeited as a result.
In the event of extreme weather conditions, where the Met Office has issued a ‘Red’ warning, I reserve the right to cancel your booking. A full refund of the final balance and booking fee will be made, excluding trial costs.
LOCATION ON THE MORNING
To help make it easier to find you and prevent any delays, please provide clear information so that I can find your exact location. Please bear in mind I am often the first person to arrive, so please make sure you are ready to go at the agreed arrival time. Please be contactable and have your phone switched on. If the location is rural or hard to find, please send photos of any landmarks to look out for if your house number is not visible, please consider marking with balloons to help suppliers locate you.
SET UP
To allow for a smooth service, please ensure that myself and associate stylists have a sufficient clear surface space e.g., a work height table near a plug point for additional lighting / natural light for the make-up set up and a table & plug point for hair. Please make sure every member of the bridal party is make-up free and aware of timings and will be available when required. Please allow for the cleaning and sanitising of brushes in between clients.
It is not advisable to have multiple venue’s / locations for hair and make-up on the morning, as this can disrupt the timings and cause possible delays. If myself or my associate artists are required to move from one location to another, a fee of £50 will be applied per artist due to travelling and unpacking and repacking of kit and the time it takes.
PHOTOS & SOCIAL MEDIA
I may take photos and/or a video during the trial (and wedding day) to be used in my portfolio and social media. Trial images or details will not be shared before the wedding unless agreed. Future clients also love to see examples of real-life brides. Please make me aware in advance if you do not wish for these to be shared.
As for social media, please credit me where required. I always welcome a list of your suppliers to make sure everyone is credited.
HEALTH & SAFETY
In the interest of personal safety, myself or associate artists have the right to refuse service to anyone who is suffering with compromised health that may be detrimental to personal safety, such as those with a contagious condition, temperature or flu like symptoms.
Contraindications will prevent or restrict a client’s service, for example – eye infection, viral infections; cold sores/facial herpes, open/weeping wounds or sores, fungal infections, cystic acne, severe sunburn, first degree burns, burns from facial waxing, eczema etc.
It is the client’s responsibility to inform of any illnesses, existing or previous allergies, pregnancies, ailments or disabilities within her bridal party that could affect makeup application and hairstyling or cause discomfort or harm.
Every effort is taken to avoid products and ingredients that cause common reactions. Prior to any application, we will consult with you regarding your skin / hair type and any history of past reactions.
I will work with you and advise on the suitability of products however no guarantees can be made regarding reactions. Myself or associate Artists will not be held liable for any reactions, injuries, losses, damage, cost, claims and actions that may occur to you or another member of your party.
High standards of health & safety working practices are constantly maintained with tools, brushes and makeup sanitised and cleaned between every makeup application. Please allow time for this.
I am insured with full Public Liability insurance. A certificate can be emailed to pass on to your vendor if required.
